Update: The Donegal G.A.P. Heritage and History Group has reached full capacity for volunteers for this project.
Volunteers are being sought to help with the conservation of Doon Fort, one of Donegal’s most spectacular heritage monuments.
Doon Fort, located on Loughadoon near Ardara, is in need of significant conservation efforts.
The Donegal GAP Heritage and History Group, which has been running the project since 2016, have organised a volunteer opportunity to help with stone collection days over the next two weekends from 7th/8th/14th & 15th of October.
The site has limited public access, making this a unique opportunity for volunteers to participate in preserving a piece of history. The volunteers will meet at 9am near Ardara and return at 4pm, with history talks and a free lunch included.
