Many of us like ‘Keepin ‘er Country’ up here in Donegal, but now it’s official.
Letterkenny has been revealed as Ireland’s most country music crazy town.
The survey by Digital Funnel examined Google search data from 2004 to now in order to determine Ireland’s most country obsessed town ahead of Patrick Kielty’s first Late Late Country Special tonight.
Letterkenny came out on top with a score of 484.
At the other end of the scale, Ranafast is the least interested town in Ireland!
Local music star Daniel O’Donnell plays a factor in the results, as scores were calculated by examining the number of searches performed for the term ‘Country Music’ and by looking at searches for some legends of the music genre, including Dolly Parton, Garth Brooks, Nathan Carter, Philomena Begley, Daniel O’Donnell and Big Tom.
Daniel, naturally, was searched for the most by the people of Letterkenny.
