The Road Safety Road Show safety message is being delivered to Donegal students in the Aura Leisure centre Letterkenny today, Tuesday & tomorrow, Wednesday.
The Road Safety Road Show is a unique partnership between Donegal County Council & members of the Donegal Road Safety Working Group which provides a platform to positively influence the driving behaviours of young students as the commence their driving careers.
The show will be seen by over 2,500 students from the county’s post-primary schools including our Youthreach centres and the show continues to receive excellent support assisting in the registration of 1450 students today with 1000 expected to attend tomorrow’s event.
It is a sad fact that almost everyone in this county knows someone who was killed or seriously injured in a road traffic collision in Donegal. This show offers our young people the opportunity to learn about the consequences of poor driving behaviour on our roads. Our hope is that this show will have a positive influence on them and keep them safe on our roads in the future.

To date in 2023, 136 have lost their lives on Irelands Roads, 5 people have tragically lost their lives on Donegal roads.
