Letterkenny Garda Station’s “Open Day” is on this afternoon, with a number of events aimed at community engagement.
The event gets underway at 12pm this Saturday, with a host of events on for the public to enjoy.
There will also be a “sensory hour” from 11am to 12pm, with no sirens being used – and anyone with special requests or requirements to attend the sensory hour will be accomodated.
Some of the events on at the open day include a “soak a Garda stand”, as well as face-painting, live music, arts and crafts, with a number of Garda units including the Garda horse mounted unit in attendance.
There will also be a number of VIP guests from the Garda charity Little Blue Heroes.
Anyone with any questions or special requests can contact Letterkenny Garda Station for more info.
