Gweedore priest Fr Brian Ó Fearraigh will certainly be feeling the September chill in the air all the more today, after getting his head shaved for charity last night!
Fr Ó Fearraigh’s famous locks were trimmed as part of a Shave and Swim charity fundraiser, raising money for 8 year old Oisín Campbell from Derrybeg, who needs specialised medical equipment in a purpose-built bedroom as his family moves into a new home.
Both Fr Ó Fearraigh and Campbell family friend Maighreád Gallagher got the buzzcut treatment last night, after local swim group Na Selkies, who helped organise the fundraiser, undertook a charity swim as well!
