UCD has confirmed that Buncrana native, William O’Connor, will be their new manager for the forthcoming season.
The club also stated that current boss, Andy Myler, will no longer be at the helm of the League of Ireland outfit.
The students will be relegated from the League of Ireland Premier Division if they don’t beat Shamrock Rovers tonight.
The former Cockhill Celtic defender will take over from Myler at the end of the current campaign.
O’Connor has been the assistant manager to Myler since May 2021 when he was recruited from his role as Shelbourne Under-19 manager.
A Dublin-based teacher, he previously worked as a coach during Ollie Horgan’s term at Finn Harps.
