A one-of-a-kind record was set yesterday, after a man unicycled the length of Ireland from Mizen to Malin Head in just six days for charity.
Eamonn Keaveney set off from Mizen Head in Cork last Sunday morning, with the gargantuan task of riding 600 kilometres in just six days – and all on one wheel!

His journey was documented on the One Wheel, One Way Facebook page as he made his way northwards along the Atlantic coast, through Munster, Connacht and eventually up to Donegal, raising money for the Simon Communities of Ireland.
This isn’t the first time Eamonn has taken on a massive challenge for charity, having previously walked around Ireland barefoot, and also walking Ireland’s ten highest peaks in ten days, also barefoot!
Eamonn reached Malin Head yesterday afternoon, and successfully snatched himself a unique one-wheeled Guinness World Record in the process.
His fundraiser for the Simon Communities in Ireland has raised almost €5,000 – you can donate here: https://www.idonate.ie/fundraiser/onewheel-oneway?fbclid=IwAR32OnIfZpJlV1Ua3kYhemcWwOqmtYHeoHxU1pRpO6nD33YwTf3ymqCv8VE
