Letterkenny Cathedral Quarter has planned a number of events for the most magical night of the year – Culture Night.
They will be hosting an Open Office at No. 3 Church Lane from 6pm to 10pm on Friday, 22nd September.
Meanwhile, the Elusive Theatre will be putting on two performances adapted from Brendan Behan’s play ‘The Quare Fellow’. This is the first year in several years that people will be able to fully enjoy the ambiance of Culture Night in the area. Last year, Uisce Éireann Irish Water had restricted access to the Church Lane because of maintenance work and previous to that, Covid 19 guidelines were very much in force.
Are you interested in learning more about the Letterkenny Cathedral Quarter project? Then, come along to the Open Office on Culture Night. At your leisure, discover the initiatives the team has started, the achievements of former residents and the exciting plans for the future in co-operation with Donegal County Council and other stakeholders. Browse in your own time and, hopefully, it might inspire you in your own initiative or you might like to get involved in the Cathedral Quarter project.
The Cathedral Quarter, in association with Elusive Theatre, presents The Quare Fellow by Brendan Behan at 6.30pm and 7.30pm in the yard behind No. 1 and No. 3 Church Lane. As the Cathedral Quarter Literary Festival prepares to celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the birth of the famous Irish writer next month, Elusive Theatre will give audiences a taste of what is to come.
As there will be a number of other events in and around the locality, a truly magical night is to be had. So, spend time in the Cathedral Quarter this Culture Night, Friday, September 22, for an evening not to be missed.
