The latest chapter in the Donegal Men’s Shed movement opened in Manorcunningham last night.
Manor Men’s Shed is now officially open for business at the former Irish Wheelchair Association premises on Manor’s Main Street.
Earlier this year, Declan Glackin, Paul Doherty, Joe Mulhern and John Crawford felt there would be a demand for a place for males in order to tackle loneliness and isolation. They were aware of the ‘men’s shed’ movement, a community-based project where men can come together to learn, share skills and make long-lasting friendships together. So, they signed up and are now the latest addition to the movement in Donegal.
Mr Glackin said their door is now wide open for anyone to call in to make use of the building, or just for a cup of tea and a chat.
