Rowers from Cumann na gCurach were in good company when they were joined by a playful pod of dolphins this week.
The inquisitive dolphins appeared at sunset on Tuesday while the Gaoth Dobhair rowing club were doing a training session.
The dolphins swam along with the rowing crews part of the way from Gabhla to Inis Meáin and back to shore.
The dolphins’ presence drew a crowd of locals and visitors alike, who watched their antics from the shore and in the bay.
