This year’s Donegal Motor Club Knockalla Hillclimb was another roaring success.
This year’s Hillclimb had a real festival feel all weekend as everyone flocked to the Hill all weekend to see the racing action which didn’t disappoint with lots of thrills & spills to keep everyone entertained and lots of debate about the new trial virtual chicane.
The usual tranquil location on Knockalla was buzzing all weekend from the Paddock right the way to the majestic top of the hill showing Knockalla in all its glory to all the competitors, marshals and spectators who were there over the weekend.
The organisers would like to thank everyone that took the time to support the event.
The overall winner on Saturday was David Kane in his blue Speedcar.
Sunday’s overall winner was Brendan Flynn in his red single seater with a time of 44 seconds dead on run 4.
The new highly sought after 2 Day Rally Challenge was hard fought among the rally car classes all weekend but the final results were:
First place went to Donegal Clubman Mac Walsh who was sharing his car with his right hand man Damian Gallagher who was that disappointed he didn’t win he had to get in the photo as well! Mac also picked up a €300 voucher sponsored by Powertune Motorsport Performance.
Second place went to first time competitor Brian Bingo Gibbons from Glenswiily who had a very impressive weekend in his Honda Civic winning a €200 voucher sponsored by Auto Options.
Third place went to Micheal Boyle in his Ford Escort who won a €100 Voucher for Synergy Motorsport.
Overall a very enjoyable weekend racing had by all on Donegal’s Knockalla Hill.
