Post-Leaving Certificate students of Finn Valley College celebrated their achievements and future opportunities at an awards ceremony last Friday.
The Stranorlar school handed out QQI Level 5 awards to thirty-five students who furthered their education through Donegal ETB’s Further Education and Training (FET) Service.
The students, who had been working hard over the past year, were from three different courses: Early Childhood Care & Education, Business Administration, and Sports, Recreation and Exercise.
Special guest on the evening was Cathaoirleach of Donegal County Council, Cllr Martin Harley.
Cllr Harley spoke about the many pathways to progression and shared his successful experiences of enterprise and career choices. The staff and students were grateful for his motivational words and appreciated his presence at the event.
Deputy Principal of FVC, Miss Kathleen Boland, was commended for her efforts in making the event a success. The staff, parents, and students who attended the ceremony were also thanked for their support. The canteen staff provided delicious refreshments and made the evening memorable for everyone.
The students were congratulated for their achievements and were wished the best in their future endeavours. The ceremony was a perfect way to acknowledge the hard work and dedication of the students, and the FVC community was proud to celebrate their success.
