It’s a picture that pulls at the heartstrings for those who know the reason behind it.
Dozens of surfers recently formed a circle around one lone surfboard off the coast of Bundoran.
The meeting was to remember and honour little Zara Witherow who sadly passed away recently after a brave battle with illness.
Zara’s parents Mark and Gina, who live in nearby Castlegal, Co Leitrim, are well-known in the Bundoran area where they operate their business.
Despite their own personal grief, Mark and Gina helped to raise a staggering €25,906 for Ronald McDonald House, where parents and families of sick children can stay while they are attending Crumlin Children’s Hospital in Dublin.
Zara’s dad Mark kindly gave us permission to use the picture above.
