Watson grabs late late draw for ten man Harps at Wexford

Jamie Watson bagged a late, late equaliser for battling Finn Harps away to Wexford tonight.

Wexford 1

Finn Harps 1

Following a recent run of bad defeats, Dave Rogers’ side needed to get something out of this one.

The home team had the best chances in an entertaining game, and took the lead through Darragh Levingston in the 70th minute. Things got worse for the visitors three minutes later when Ryan Rainey (main pic) saw red after picking up a second booking.

However, Harps stuck to the task and up popped Watson in the 96th minute to grab his first goal of the season and guarantee a share of the spoils.

The result leaves Harps nine points behind Wexford who sit in the final play-off spot.

Hopefully it will be the tonic needed when high-flying Waterford are the visitors to Finn Park next Friday night.
