Bundoran RNLI has warned swimmers of the dangers of rip currents as the local lifeguards’ season comes to an end.
Donegal County Council beach lifeguards at the main beach in the town are on duty until this Sunday, September 3. They are back on for the weekend only, however, they will then finish for the season.
“On the main beach, please be extra careful of the consistent rip current on the Great Northern side of the beach (main pic),” a Bundoran RNLI spokesperson said.
“Consider using the Thrupenny pool or the West end Nun’s pool if no lifeguards are on duty.”
