Four Donegal athletes were in winning form at the Welsh Athletics U20 International in Cardiff yesterday.
Tír Chonaill AC’s Fintan Dewhirst won gold in the U20 400m hurdles. The Glenties athlete set a meeting record of 52.16 seconds.

Lifford Strabane AC’s Adrienne Gallen had a fine victory too, winning gold in the Hammer with a throw of 52.69m. This rounds off a busy season for Adrienne, the highlight being a 56.05m throw at the National Seniors to take a bronze medal and break the Donegal Record in the process.

Finn Valley AC pair Hannah Murray and Joseph Gillespie won silver medals. Gillespie took silver in the triple jump with a best jump of 14.36m. Murray finished the 400m in 56.98 seconds.
