There will be scattered outbreaks of rain this morning and afternoon before a Status Yellow rainfall warning comes into effect this evening.
The warning becomes valid from 5pm and will last until 6am on Saturday.
During the course of the evening, heavy and persistent rain will spread from the south bringing the potential for flooding. An increasingly blustery day with fresh to strong and gusty east to southeast winds. A humid day with highs of 17 to 21 degrees.
It will be wet and windy tonight with heavy rain and some thundery downpours. Spot flooding is likely with difficult travelling conditions. Lowest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees with strong east or southeast winds, veering southwesterly later.
