Carndonagh Senior Hurlers avenged last year’s defeat with a 2–12 to 2-08 victory over MacCumhaills at O Donnell Park to take the Donegal Intermediate Cup.
The Inishowen men led by 2-08 to 2-04 at halftime, Luke White from a penalty and Man of the Match Donal Doherty who finished with 1-04 got their goals while Shane McMenamin and Ger Cunningham goaled for MacCumhaill in a competitive first-half.
The second-half was a low-scoring affair, 0-04 points apiece and a four point victory for Carndonagh.
James Monagle contributed 0-03 points for the winners while Lee Henderson scored all eight of MacCumhaill’s points, seven from frees.
