As the Barbie buzz continues, Team Hope, the Irish charity organisation behind the Christmas shoebox appeal, is calling for volunteers to help make dresses for Barbie and Ken dolls.
Every year, the charity receives dolls donated a little ‘underdressed’ for their journeys.
Volunteers are required to make the Barbie outfits complete again to be loved by children across the world.
If you can knit, crochet and sew, this could be a worthwhile project for you!
The Donegal Volunteer Centre is helping Team Hope find Donegal people to volunteer a little bit of time to make some dresses.
If you are interested in volunteering, Team Hope can supply you with patterns to make Barbie dresses at home. You can work at your own pace and on your own schedule. You can make as many or as little as you have time for. The finished dresses must be completed by the end of September and delivered to the charity’s headquarters in Dublin.
