Their love of GAA and O’Neill’s shorts gave them plenty to talk about when they met at the All-Ireland Final at Croke Park.
Such was the case when our own Michael Murphy bumped into actor Paul Mescal at Sunday’s game between Dublin and Kerry.
Murphy was a pundit for BBC2 during the Dublin and Kerry match, while Mescal was attendance for his first ever All-Ireland final in Croke Park.
The two posed for a selfie, which Michael (wearing his best Evolve attire) posted on his Instagram story, with the caption “Good company”.
Paul was joined by Dara Ó Briain, Patrick Kielty and Adrian Dunbar and gave his thoughts to BBC throughout the game. His position was clear as a Kildare man, he “could never vouch” for Dublin on All-Ireland final day.
Michael, alongside Mickey Harte and Oisin McConville, was on punditry duties, as the final was broadcast on BBC in the UK for the first time.
