The Castlefin Uniform Swap Shop has received more donations from kindhearted members of the public.
The organisers have decided to open for a second day, this evening, due the overwhelming success of yesterday’s event.
Donated items included school jumpers/sweatshirts, shirts, trousers and skirts.
The brainchild of local Cllr Gary Doherty and St Vincent de Paul Branch President Noeleen KillenIt, it was set up to assist families with the costs involved with sending children back to school.
The pop-up exchange in St Mary’s Hall, Castlefin, is a place where parents and children can donate all the school uniform items they no longer need and pick up items they DO need, for no charge! However, the organisers have asked attendees to make a small donation to the local branch of St Vincent de Paul.
Due to the success of yesterday’s event, at which a queue had formed outside at one stage, the organisers have decided to reopen tonight from 7pm to 8pm.
Anyone who is still looking for items, or interested in volunteering in any capacity, is asked to make contact with the Facebook page below or email castlefinuniformshop@gmail.com
