The Finn Valley Centre in Stranorlar has alerted parents over an incident in which an attempt was allegedly made to beckon children into a stranger’s car.
It is said to have occurred outside the centre last Friday.
“Please be aware of a concerning incident yesterday involving a dark coloured Volkswagen Passat, Cavan registered, which was reported as beckoning two children into the car in the Finn Valley Centre car park .Three young men were in the car and CCTV has been made available to the local Gardaí,” they posted on their Facebook page on Saturday.
A spokesperson for the Garda Press Office said local Gardaí responded to reports of a suspicious approach on Friday afternoon, but that ‘no offences were disclosed.’
