A new marshmallow-making workshop has opened in Donegal and it has already become a hit among those with a sweet tooth.
Mallow Mia founder Linda McClean has turned her workspace in Newtowncunningham into a Willy Wonka style factory of fun flavours and treats.
The marshmallow and chocolate experiences offer something unique for people to do for birthday parties, hen parties, and groups, especially on a rainy day.
Classes are tailored to every age and taste. Choose between fresh marshmallows and luxury rocky roads, or chocolate truffle and chocolate bark making.
What sets this workshop apart is the freedom to choose your favourite flavours, colours, and toppings. With a range of essences to choose from, including Orange Blossom and Whiskey, and countless colours to mix and match, the possibilities are endless as you make your own marshmallow. Participants can let their creativity run wild, and even combine flavours to create unique combinations.
Under Linda’s expert guidance, participants carefully measure and mix the ingredients to perfection. Linda is a master of flavours, having created the WKD Blue flavour while working as a beverage technologist in Germany. She and her assistant Annmarie Gilpin have plenty of tips and tricks to share to stop participants from getting into any sticky situations.
Those looking to organise a children’s birthday party (aged 7+), hen party, corporate team getaway, family day-out, tour group, or school group can get in touch with Mallow Mia to see what experience would suit them best.
