A man is set to stand trial over drug dealing in Letterkenny.
Prince Nlemoah, who has been charged with the possession of drugs for the purpose of selling or supplying and also with a money laundering offence, appeared before Letterkenny District Court this week.
Nlemoah was found with a stash of cocaine and cannabis worth at least €13,000 at his home at Burnside Apartments, Lower Main Street, Letterkenny on August 16, 2022.
Sergeant Jim Collins said the matter would be sent forward for prosecution on indictment.
Nlemoah is charged that, at his address ,did have one or more controlled drugs, namely cocaine and cannabis, for the purpose of selling or otherwise supplying the drugs to another in contravention of the Misuse of Drugs Regulations made under section 5 of the Misuse of Drugs Act, 1977 and at the time while the drugs were in his possession, the aggregate values of the controlled drugs amounted to €13,000 or more.
He was also charged that he engaged in transferring, handling, acquiring or using property that is the proceeds of criminal conduct, to wit cash to the value of €350 whole knowing or being reckless as to whether or not the said property was the proceeds of criminal conduct.

Sergeant Collins said the accused was before the court on other matters.
Judge Éiteáin Cunningham adjourned the case until October to allow for the preparation of a book of evidence.
