A new coffee dock is brewing up big opportunities for young people in the north Donegal area.
The Finn is a coffee dock in a horsebox on the Shore Road at scenic Portnablagh.
What’s different about this coffee stop is that it is a social enterprise which gives summer jobs to young people who may perhaps find it more challenging to get part time employment.
As well as that, the coffee is world class and the traybakes are to die for!
The friendly ‘Finn’ team includes Kate McMahon, Anna Hennessey, Mia McClintock, Keira Getgood and Daniel McBride. These fine young people have been assisted by Emma McClintock and Julie McMahon.
The other people that have been central to the project are Alan and Joanne Ledlie who very kindly provided the Horsebox, Ristretto who supply the coffee and McErlains who provided the tray bakes (the Fifteens are truly magnificent).
There is seating in front of the coffee dock with views over Portnablagh harbour and Horn Head. This delightful harbour is situated on Sheephaven Bay in the magnificent North West of Ireland which is part of the Wild Atlantic Way and 1.5km from Dunfanaghy village.
The Finn is back open this Tuesday 25th July. The dock is open from 10am to 3pm daily hopefully through to the end of August.
If you happen to be in the area, do drop in and support The Finn!
