This week’s Dunkineely/Bruckless/Killaghtee community notes are out.
Killaghtee Festival
Not long now until the 2nd annual Killaghtee Festival.
This year we will be celebrating at the Community Park in Bruckless, as well as in Dunkineely centre. We are looking for stall holders to take part in our craft market on Sunday 27th August 10am to 2pm, along Dunkineely main street. If you are interested in having a stall, sponsoring or would like to help out over the weekend, then contact us at dunkineelycommunity@gmail.com
Community Support Fund
A big thank you to Donegal County Council for sponsoring our insurance bill for 2023/24, through the Community Support Fund. This insurance allows us to carry out a wide range of activities, with confidence and security. This includes the Killaghtee Festival, heritage conservation projects, Christmas events and much more. None of this would be possible without the council’s support.
Local GAA Coach Vacancy
CLG Naomh Ultan are currently seeking a GAA coach for our Local Primary Schools, 4/6 hours per week beginning in September 2023. Paid hourly rate and the club will provide/facilitate any GAA Coaching Courses that are required. If interested in the role, please contact Alan Lyons (087 468 9435).
Car Wash
Killaghtee Church will be holding a car wash, in aid of church funds on Saturday 22 nd July, 11am to 3pm.
Naomh Ultan is 50
In 2024, a remarkable year awaits our club as we commemorate the golden jubilee of CLG Naomh Ultan’s establishment.
Throughout this momentous year, the club will celebrate this historic milestone through a series of events. It will be a time to reflect upon our club’s accomplishments, both on and off the field, and an opportunity to honour the contributions of our past and present players, members, and the pivotal moments that have shaped us.
They have begun the organisational process for upcoming celebrations and are actively reaching out to individuals who are interested in joining our committee for the 50th Anniversary.
They would like to extend an invitation to save the dates of 2 nd to 4 th August 2024. These dates have been reserved for a weekend of festivities, culminating in our 50th Anniversary Dinner Dance where they will be commemorating this significant milestone. Please mark your calendars and join us for an unforgettable celebration in 2024!
