Donegal Local Development CLG is an integrated local development company established in 1995. We deliver a number of external funded programmes to the Donegal community.
Donegal Local Development CLG (DLDC) are now inviting applications for the following positions:
- Case Officer, (Sa Ghaeltacht) Local Area Employment Services (LAES).
This is a 2-year fixed-term contract and may cease/continue after this date, dependent on funding and referrals from Department of Social Protection. The Case Officer will be required to work as a member of the LAES Team within DLDC to provide services to the long-term unemployed, under-employed and employers in Donegal. The purpose of the role is to provide services to clients in the Gaeltacht area; thereforethe Case Officer must be fluent in Irish. It is anticipated that the role will be based in Dungloe.
Detailed knowledge of the area of employment, enterprise and/or career guidance is required.
A formal qualification in the area of guidance or counselling or other relevant area [Qualified to L7 and/or be willing to work towards L7 accreditation] is desirable.
- Employer Engagement Co-ordinator
This is a 2-year fixed-term contract subject to funding and client intake as set out by the Department. The Employer Engagement Coordinator will play a lead role in building and supporting relationships with a wide range of employers in the DLDC catchment area. The Employer Engagement Coordinator will work closely with DLDC’s, Local Area Employment Services (LAES), Employment Supports, Learning & Enterprise, and New Communities teams to provide employment opportunities to the long-term unemployed, under-employed and new community groups in Donegal.
A Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience of working in the area of employment, employer engagement and/or career guidance is required. Must possess a comprehensive understanding of the employment market and the needs of employers along with an understanding of the needs of the long-term unemployed and under-employed.
