Newly-ordained priest Fr Shaun Doherty will celebrate his first Mass in St Eugene’s Cathedral in Derry tonight (Monday).

The Mass takes place at 7.30pm.

Fr Doherty said he will celebrate the First Mass for his late mother Mary.

“Everyone is most welcome,” he said.

This is the first Cathedral celebration for Fr Doherty since his ordination at St. Eugene’s on Sunday July 2nd.

The former Highland Radio broadcaster has been warmly welcomed to the Derry Diocese with the steadfast support of his faithful friends in The Columba Community.
