A man has pleaded guilty to an assault causing harm to a woman on St Patrick’s Day in Letterkenny.
George Boyce appeared at Letterkenny Circuit Court, where he was formally arraigned before Judge John Aylmer.
Boyce, of Fernhill, Letterkenny, pleaded guilty to unlawfully assaulting a woman and causing her harm at Beechwood Park, Letterkenny.
The incident occurred on March 17, 2022.
The 38-year-old spoke only to plead guilty when the charge was put to him in court.
Ms Fiona Crawford BL, barrister for the accused, said her client had never been in trouble with the Gardai before.
Ms Crawford asked for a probation and welfare report on behalf of Boyce.
Judge Aylmer said a probation and welfare report should include the accused’s suitability for community service.
The case was adjourned until the October session of Letterkenny Circuit Court.
