Teenage Ballybofey jockey, Kyle McHugh, had his first win today.
The 17-year-old rode the 13/8 favourite Big Baby Bull to victory in the Family Fun Day Appreciation Apprentice Claiming Race at Limerick for trainer Denis Hogan.
The son of Aine and Shane McHugh, he is set to be Donegal’s next up and coming racing star.

Meanwhile, another young Donegal jockey, Luke McAteer, was also in the winners enclosure after steering 11/2 joint favourite, Amemri, to victory in the Ballyduane Stud Handicap over one mile at the same meeting on Friday evening.
