Almost 2,000 customers in the east and south of the county are without power tonight following thunderstorms and lightning strikes.
The outages mainly affect the Ballybofey, Ballyshannon and Glencolmcille areas. The worst hit area is in Carrick, Kilcar, where 1,240 homes and businesses are currently without power.
The ESB estimates that most areas will have their electricity restored by 2pm tomorrow, Sunday.
Already, around 100 customers in the Ballyshannon and Kilcar areas have had their power turned back on within the last hour.
