Jason Quigley is more than confident ahead of next weekend’s bout in New York’s famous Madison Square Garden.
He faces unbeaten Puerto Rican Edgar Berlanga in the headline act at the iconic venue.
“There is no question about what this fight can do for me and what a win can do for me,” he stressed.
“A win would put me right back in the world title mix again, be it Caneleo or some of the other guys in the division.”
Quigley comes off the back of a comfortable comeback win in April over Gabor Gorbics (main pic Inpho/Evan Treacy) at the National Stadium in Dublin and is set to fight in New York for the first time as a pro.
The Donegal boxer also confirmed that Andy Lee will be back in his corner for the fight.
“Andy will be the main man in the corner. It’s massive. It’s huge. I have great faith, great belief, great trust, and a great relationship with Andy,” he said.
“We have done everything these past few years together, drilling techniques, drilling game plans and creating a bond and relationship. To have him in the corner is massive. There is no other way to say it, it’s massive to have him there for the whole week and on fight night.”
