A hill walker was rescued in what has been described as a ‘major incident, on Sliabh Liag this afternoon.
A number of agencies were involved in the rescue including the Coast Guard, the Rescue 118 helicopter and Donegal Mountain Rescue Team (DMRT).
“The team were today involved in a major incident on Slieve League, involving multi-agency coordination including Rescue 118 and Malin Head Coast Guard. More details to follow,” a DMRT spokesperson said.
Donegal Daily understands the person’s injuries were not serious and they were safely recovered from the mountain before being treated.
