A nurse has been temporarily appointed to Tory Island this week to ensure islanders are not left without essential services.
Concern arose last week when it emerged that, due to unplanned leave, there would be no nurse to cover the island for the next fortnight.
The HSE carried out an urgent review of the situation and has now confirmed that there is nursing cover for the island until 22nd of June 2023. Normal nursing services will resume after this date.
