A Letterkenny woman has appeared in court charged with a number of thefts from various premises.
Julia Stokes, 38, appeared at Letterkenny District Court.
The court was told that a number of theft charges from various stores throughout the town including Sports Direct, TK Maxx, Dealz and Iceland were being taken into consideration.
Ms Stokes had pleaded to the theft of €250 worth of goods for Boots Chemist on August 4th last.
Stokes with an address at The Elms, Letterkenny, was represented by solicitor Rory O’Brien.
Judge Paul Kelly sentenced Ms Stokes to six months in prison but suspended the sentence for 18 months.
He ordered Ms Stokes to abstain from all alcohol, to attend the addiction services, to attend the Women’s Centre as well as the Mental Health Services and not to reoffend.
“If you are in breach of any of these conditions you will be brought back to court,” Judge Kelly warned the accused.
