The tragic construction worker killed in an explosion at a house in Gaoth Dobhair on Monday is to be laid to rest on Friday.
Father-of-one Stephen Montgomery, aged 43, was killed as he operated machinery at a house at Bloody Forelands.
Mr Montgomery was from Dunfanaghy.
He will be laid to rest at Ballymore Graveyard following a funeral service at his home in Ballymore.
Stephen was predeceased by his loving father Thomas Montgomery.
He is deeply mourned, much loved and sadly missed by his wife Doreen, cherished daughter Clara, mother Daphne, brothers Trever, Derek, Nigel, Andrew and Garvan, sisters Donna, Helen and Laura, father and mother in law William and Margaret Sayers, brothers in law, sisters in law and adored godchildren, nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts and by his extended circle of family and friends.
His remains will be reposing at his late residence from 11am today, Wednesday, 31st May 2023. Funeral Service in his family home at Ballymore on Friday, 2nd June, at 12 noon. Burial afterwards in Ballymore Graveyard.
Meanwhile, investigations are ongoing into the cause of the explosion which led to Mr Montgomery’s tragic death.
His remains were taken to Letterkenny University Hospital where a post mortem was due to be conducted.
