Four people have died after a boat carrying more than 20 tourists and crew sank in strong winds on Lake Maggiore in northern Italy.
A sudden whirlwind hit the boat and caused it to overturn on Sunday.
Nineteen survivors swam to shore without serious injury. Five people were taken to hospital.
A major search took place for those reported missing. However, as of this morning, four have reportedly died.
The nationalities of the casualties have not been confirmed, but unconfirmed reports say that British, Italian and Israeli nationals were among those onboard.
The group were celebrating a birthday on the 16-metre-long boat when it got caught in a ‘small hurricane’.
Attilio Fontana, president of the Lombardy region, posted on Facebook that the tragedy had been a “very serious accident”.
