Donegal County Council Library staff hosted a visit from the Polish Ambassador, Anna Sochanskas, as part of the community engagement programme leading to the National Famine Commemoration which took place in Milford on the 21st of May.
Milford Library is currently hosting an exhibition entitled ‘A Forgotten Polish Hero of the Great Irish Famine: Paul Strzelecki’s Struggle to Save Thousands’.
The Ambassador visited the library to speak to local school children about the exhibition and on her role in Ireland and what it entails.
The exhibition will be available to view on Tuesdays and Thursdays until the 2nd of June. For further information please contact 074 9153927.
