Creative and talented pupils in south Donegal have designed fabulous new crests for their school.
The boys and girls at Bruckless NS have created two new unique designs that will appear on the jumpers for new students and will be phased in for current students as they get new uniforms.
The first with the church and tower will be the one used to identify the school, as it’s hard to think of Bruckless without thinking of the iconic tower. The second has been designed using some of the local features and history: the badger as the name Bruckless originates from the Irish for Badger (broc); the train as a reference to the train station that was in Bruckless; the image of rowing and Bruckless Bay; and finally the school as the heart of the community in Bruckless.
A plaque will be displayed in the school in the near future explaining the symbolism of the crests and giving the names of those who created them.
