It was a successful day in the racing world yesterday for three Donegal jockeys.
There were victories for Luke McAteer and Dylan Browne-McMonagle at Naas while Oisin Orr had a big win at Thirsk.
Orr is the stable jockey for Richard Fahey and he took victory in the Vickers.Bet Coronation Trophy Handicap.
On the 2/1 favourite Great State, he had a length-and-a-half of a winning matron from the 12/1 Vespasian ridden by Harry Burns.
McAteer (main pic) won the ALTO EQUINE Building Solutions Rated Race at Naas on the Jim Bolger-trained New Variant, sent off at 9/4. New Variant was a huge ten lengths clear of Roman Hands (17/2).
Browne-McMonagle, who landed a 28/1 winner at Cork on Friday evening, rode a winner for Joseph O’Brien.
On the 11/2 chance Caroline Street, the Letterkenny man won the Al Shira’aa Racing Irish EBF Blue Wind Stakes by half-a-length.
