A new Mulroy Drive tourism website is to be launched next week showcasing local businesses, What’s On guide and tourism activities in north Donegal.
The launch takes place on Wednesday 3rd May at 2pm at Logues of Cranford. Mulroy Drive Development Group are asking local businesses who are involved in the tourism sector to attend.
Speaking ahead of the launch, Chairperson Paddy Logue has said that a lot of work has gone into the project so far, but this is only the first phase of a much bigger plan for the area.
“We have been working tirelessly towards this goal for a number of years, and we finally got the route recognised by Failte Ireland last year, so the further development of the website, and the publication of a visitor guide in the coming weeks, is a natural progression, and we believe that it will be a success,” said Mr Logue.
“We engaged a local marketing and web design company, Inish Media, to work with the group to develop what we see as the first stage of our planning, and to take the project forward, and the site is impressive. We have a lot of very functional, and very necessary things that have been implemented, and we hope that local businesses will support what we have been doing.”
“We would urge anyone who has an interest, or a connection financially to the growth of tourism in our area and beyond to attend, ask questions, and get involved in what we are doing, and I have to say, the support to date has been very good from local businesses.”
“Our visitor guide is also nearing completion, and we don’t want anyone to miss out on this opportunity, so we look forward to welcoming everyone to the launch. Failte Ireland, and members of Donegal County Council’s tourism unit will be in attendance, and they have also been very supportive to date, and we will also hear from the designers who will outline the capabilities of the new website, and how we will promote the area,” concluded Mr Logue.
A demonstration version of the new website can be previewed at www.mulroydrive.com ahead of the launch, and if you would like to get involved, please contact Ryan on 085 8888 531 or email info@inishmedia.com for further information.
