Dungloe student Kevea Gallagher is inviting people of all ages to join a picturesque 5K run/walk in her hometown this Sunday at 9am.
The course, which covers the scenic river walk in the town, had been due to take place this Saturday, but has been put back for one day.
Entry is 3€ a person or 5€ for a family, and participants will be entered into a hamper draw. There will be a bake sale , 1st, 2nd and 3rd prizes and small prizes for junior categories.
Proceeds are in aid of Voice Ireland, an Irish environmental charity that empowers individuals and local communities to take positive action to conserve our natural resources.
Kevea’s support of the charity is linked with her campaign for the Miss Earth Ireland title. The Leaving Cert Rosses CS student is one of four young women from Donegal competing in this year’s beauty pageant which focuses on environmental awareness.
Kevea is being well supported by her family, her parents Roseanne and Joe Patrick and the groups that she is involved in: Claire Gallagher Irish Dancing and Rosses Athletics.
The Miss Earth Ireland final takes place on 27th May in The G Hotel in Galway.
