Acclaimed Irish filmmaker Lance Daly is to film a new feature film in Donegal, it has been revealed.
The Dublin director will create a film called ‘Trad’ with Irish traditional music at the heart of the project.
Daly is best known for the award-winning Irish famine film Black ’47 (2018) and the Irish drama Kisses (2008).
Filming for ‘Trad’ is due to take place in Donegal this summer. Ahead of the shoot, Trad Casting has announced their search for a young male player to fill the first leading role.
The first main role to be filled is a 12 year old male player, ideally bodhrán / whistle but all players welcome.
Acting experience is not required, making this an excellent opportunity for any young musicians looking to break into the industry.
