Play Therapy

Healthy Food Made Easy
A new FREE fun course, where you will learn how to cook healthy meals on a budget, is starting in the centre on Monday, 17 April from 7:00 to 9:30pm. Booking is essential. Tel: 074 9155055 to book your place.
Breast and Bottle-Feeding Support Group
Breast and bottle-fed babies welcome for mum’s and new babies, facilitated by the Public Health Nurse. This will run on the 1 st and 3 rd Wednesday of each month, commencing Wednesday 19 th April @ 11am – 12:30pm in Mevagh FRC. Call in for a cuppa and a chat, no booking necessary. Busy Bees Parent, Baby & Toddler group
This group is aimed at parents/carers and children 0-5 years old. We meet every Friday 10am – 12pm. €3 per family.
Senior Alert Scheme
A personal monitored alarm can be acquired for people aged 65+, and of limited means. It enables older people to live securely and independently in their homes. The installation and equipment is free and if you connect to a landline, the monitoring is free for the first year. Charges apply to alarms set up via Sim Card. Part funded by Pobal. General Clean Up
Downings Tidy Towns, Carrigart Tidy Towns, Mevagh Development Association and Glen Development Association will hold a ‘General Clean Up’ day on Saturday, 22nd April from 10:30 am until 2:00 pm. Gloves, black bags, pick-ups and a skip will be available at the Downings Tidy Town’s shed. All help is greatly appreciated.
