A tea party held in Glenfin on Daffodil Day has raised a massive €22,500 for Cancer Care West.
The event, organised by local community activist John Gallagher, took place in the local GAA clubhouse. The final tally was boosted by funds raised at a quiz in the nearby Harkin’s Bar which was hosted by his sister, Annie Kelly.
John took the opportunity to thank Glenfin GAA Club for making their facilities available, the ladies who took charge of the tables and to Johnny Callaghan and John O’Donnell who supplied the music.
