Menopause workshop – with Edel Mc Ginley
A menopause workshop will be held on Thursday 20 th April 2023 from 7PM – 9PM in the Family Resource Centre.
* Fun, interactive and informative workshop looking at the challenges women face
during three stages of menopause, perimenopause and post menopause
* Look at the many various symptoms of menopause

Self-Care and Relaxation Therapy with Julie Voss
Why not do a little something just for you this spring and join our Self-Care and Relaxation Therapy Programme with Julie Voss, Gentle Self Donegal. Mindful Meditation – Via Zoom
Relax in your favourite armchair in the comfort of your own home and take away the stress
of the day. Mindful meditation started via zoom on Monday 13 th March 2023 at 6PM but we
still have some spaces remaining! This programme is part funded by Donegal ETB. Cost is

Raphoe Men’s Shed
The Men’s Shed group meets every Thursday at 12 Noon in “The Shed”. If you have a few hours to spare why not come along and join in! The men are planning a few day/walking

Raphoe Boxing club
It was to be a massive successful weekend for the Raphoe boxing when on Friday night
middleweight kingpin Cathal Mc Laughlin had a very impressive points win over Boston
Golden Gloves Champion Giovani Daly at a massive tournament in Dunmurry. On Saturday David Tennyson had a good points win over Ritchie Gentle in an Inter-County Tournament in Belfast, and on Sunday evening David represented Belfast V’s Boston at a major show in Ballymoney when he had an explosive win with a stoppage in round 2 over Justin Vidal.
The club have 4 Ulster champions through to the national finals for 11, 12, & 13 year old boys and girls commencing on Monday 10 th , Easter Monday at the National Stadium, Dublin, Rachael Harron, Tyler Keaveney, Taylor Parke and John Gerard Ward.
Volt House and Raphoe Tidy Towns – ‘Our town our future’
Volt House and Raphoe Tidy towns invite residents, resident associations, businesses,
community and voluntary groups, church leaders and statutory bodies to an open evening in the Suile Centre on Wednesday 19th April at 7.30PM. Play your part, add your voice. Refreshments will be served.
Family Support
As a parent or guardian, parenting is one of the most rewarding things you will ever do.
However, the Family Resource Centre recognises at times life throws up challenges and these can be overwhelming. Some examples of the support we can offer; making routines,
establishing boundaries and dealing with challenging behaviours.
The Family Resource Centre can help through listening ear, parenting programmes, one to one support, and a drop-in clinic to offer support on issues that are affecting home life.
We also provide sign posting or referrals to other services. For any further information

Breakfast Club
Our breakfast club takes place Monday – Friday from 8.40am – 9.00 am. This is to support families with the cost of living crisis that many families are currently experiencing. Little Smiles with Big Dreams Baby & Toddler Group
Baby and toddlers take place every Wednesday morning in the FRC from 10:30am to 12.
Starting back Wednesday 11 th January. Light snacks will be provided for the kids and a cup of tea for the adults. Cost is €2 per family. Please note the change of venue.
Women’s Group
Would you like to join a group and get to know other ladies in your community? We meet
every second Monday at 8Pm. Everyone is welcome and always love seeing new faces. For

Raphoe Walking Group meets every Thursday morning at 10.30am, here in the FRC. Come along and join the group for a walk and a cuppa!!
Seniors Alert Scheme
Raphoe Family Resource Centre is registered under Pobal’s Senior Alert Scheme to provide personal alarms to those over 65 years living alone for significant periods of time during the day, or is a carer to someone else in their household. The purpose of the scheme is to enable older persons of limited means to continue to live securely in their own homes with confidence, independence and peace of mind providing them with a free personal monitored alarm which can be worn as a pendant or around their wrist like a watch. S.T.A.R.T Project
Would you like to talk to someone about your concerns around drugs/alcohol?
Free, confidential – non-judgemental service providing up to date information and practical supports, including CBT, Motivational Interviewing, Mindfulness practices, Brief Solution Focused Therapy and the Smart Recovery Principles.
Drop in Group/Individuals every Monday 10am-12pm in the Raphoe Family Resource Centre. Letterkenny C.D.P is a community Development Project providing a Community Response to Alcohol/Drug misuse throughout Co. Donegal.
