Waterworld in Bundoran has reopened to the public for the 2023 season and will be open daily for the duration of the two week Easter break. The opening today (Monday 3rd April) signals a start to the traditionally busy fortnight for the seaside town.
A flurry of work was completed in the past few weeks, including the repair of the external slide tower which houses the popular Whizzer slide with its 9.2 degree drop. Meanwhile the other popular features like the Tornado, Twister and the Gravity speed slides, the wave pool, the rapids, the three lane multi slide and toddler pool are all ready to offer a fun filled family outing to Waterworld this Easter.
Another addition to Waterworld this year is the new gift shop which is located at the rear of the facility selling teas, coffees, snacks, pool gear and Waterworld souvenir merchandise so guests can bring a memory home with them.
Waterworld General Manager Aine Temple is happy to be open again ‘Bookings have been really strong and we’re looking forward to seeing plenty of people in Waterworld over the next few weeks and into the 2023 season. We would remind people that slots must be booked in advance via our website www.waterworldbundoran.com/booking and that this year, swim hats are mandatory in the arena – guests can bring their own or they will be available for purchase on site on arrival.’
Chairman of Bundoran Waterworld Cllr Michael McMahon added his support saying ‘it’s great to see Waterworld open once again for the 2023 season and no doubt all of the guests who are booked in will be looking forward to their visit over Easter. Congratulations to everyone on the phenomenal effort to ensure the facility was open and ready to go.’
