Two pellet guns seized by Gardai when they stopped a car in Letterkenny have been destroyed.
The owner of the guns, Ciaran Tourish, failed to turn up in court to claim the items.
Garda Sergeant Gerard Dalton told Letterkenny District Court the pellet guns had been seized when a car was stopped in Letterkenny on November 10th, 2018.
The guns were sent for analysis and were not deemed as firearms.
Mr Tourish, of Swilly Park, Letterkenny, was informed by post that he could appear in court to claim the items but did not appear.
