Highly respected undertaker to be laid to rest this afternoon

Highly respected funeral director, Ernie Gibson, will be laid to rest in his native Convoy this afternoon.

The late Mr Gibson spent almost half a century serving the people of east Donegal and beyond, professionally taking care of the deceased and their loved ones.

For many years he was also one of the few embalmers in the county, travelling to provide his expertise to other undertakers.

Mr Gibson’s remains will leave Gibson’s Funeral Home, Broadpath, Convoy, today at 1.30 p.m. for 2pm Service in St. Ninian’s Parish Church of Ireland.

Interment afterwards in the adjoining churchyard.
