Letterkenny Rugby Club qualified for another Gordon West Cup final after they defeated Cavan in today’s semi-final at Dave Gallaher Park.
Letterkenny . . . 32, Cavan . . . 11
Played in difficult, wet conditions, Letterkenny made home advantage count against a very strong Cavan team.
Letterkenny won this competition last year after a thrilling victory over Monaghan in the Ravenhill decider.
And they can look forward to another run-out at the home of Ulster rugby after coming through Saturday’s semi-final.
Their try scorers on the day were Daniel Faulkner (with two), Adam Bratton and Calum O’Hagan. Daffyd Green kicked a penalty and a conversion.
The win is the latest good result in what’s been a fine season for Letterkenny.
They also have a promotion play-off to look forward to in the league against Donaghadee RFC
